DISTRIBUTION
This version is Public Domain and may be freely copied
providing the following conditions are met:
Only complete copies of the game may be made (i.e. all of
the files must be supplied in their UNMODIFIED form).
No charge is made for the game.

ABOUT THE GAME
This game was specially written for the Amiga Format Blitz
Basic ][ competition, and took me approximately 9 weeks to
write (including the graphics) which isn't bad when you
consider that this is the first time I've programmed the Amiga
and it's also my first attempt at writing games.
As it stands the game only has 4 levels (that's all I had time
for). However, new levels will be available soon, and I aim to
release the map editor shortly, which will allow you to add
new levels (without recompiling the game).
This game is dedicated to my daughter Jemma-Louise who was
born only days after I completed writing this game (Jan 11th
1994).
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
This game requires an AGA machine (A1200 or A4000) with at
least 2MB of CHIP RAM.
While not essential, FAST RAM is recommended as the game has
many enhancements that make use of the extra speed available
when FAST RAM is fitted.
NOTE: If you are using mode promotion with a DBL PAL monitor
please turn mode promotion OFF before running the game.
RUNNING FROM FLOPPY
Simply reset your Amiga by pressing the CTRL and both Amiga
keys simultaneously, then insert Disk 1 (SYSTEM DISK). Once
loaded, the game will prompt for Disk 2 (DATA DISK) which may
be placed in any drive. Once this has taken place all
subsequent disk access will take place from Disk 2.
HARD DRIVE INSTALLATION
To install the game to your hard drive simply insert Disk 1
(SYSTEM DISK) and click on the CYBERTECH-INSTALL icon, then
follow the on-screen instructions.
PLAYING THE GAME
To start the game press the fire button during the title
screens. If the demo is running, press the ESC key to
return to the title screens. To exit back to Workbench,
press the ESC key during the title screens.
You control your character using the joystick. The aim of
the game is to complete the task given to you at the
beginning of each level. Various objects can be found on
each level which will help your progress through the game:
AMMO: Pick up ammunition to reload your weapon.
KEYS: Use keys to open doors.
CREDITS: Much needed dosh to buy equipment and weapons.
MEDIKIT: Use these to replenish your health.
Once the mission objective has been accomplished, make
your way to the lift.
THE COMPUTER
You have access to the main computer at all times by
pressing the C key during play. The computer allows you to
buy weapons and equipment, and also to check your mission
progress. The computer can be operated with either the
keyboard or the joystick.
THE SCANNER
Pressing S during play displays a scan of the level. How
much you can see depends on how good your scanner is. The
function keys (F1 to F10) can be used to change the
magnification - the better the scanner the higher the
magnification.
MISSION PROGRESS
Pressing the SPACE BAR provides you with a mission progress
report.
CHANGING WEAPONS
Once new weapons have been purchased, you can toggle between
them using the RETURN key.
IN-GAME MUSIC
All music modules in this game have been taken from Public
Domain. Unfortunately no authors names came with the modules
that I received, so if you recognise any of your soundtracks
within the game, please send me your name so that I can
include it in the game's list of credits.
SOURCE CODE
The Blitz Basic source code for the game and map editor can be
obtained by sending me a P.O. (no cheques please!) for £5.00
(Five Pounds Sterling).
